I have always had a deep connection with animals and their humans. For the past 23 years, I’ve been honored to work as a Certified Veterinary Technician (licensed vet nurse) in small animal medicine. I've witnessed the joy and heartbreak that is part of the human-animal bond, as well as the grief that always comes with losing loved ones.
I have always had a deep connection with animals and their humans. For the past 23 years, I’ve been honored to work as a Certified Veterinary Technician (licensed vet nurse) in small animal medicine. I've witnessed the joy and heartbreak that is part of the human-animal bond, as well as the grief that always comes with losing loved ones. I’ve seen the lack of resources for grief for pet parents and veterinary staff, and this has become my new passion.
In addition to my AAS in Veterinary Technology from Portland Community College, I received certifications from Pet Loss Partners and Evergreen Certifications/PESI in Pet Loss and Bereavement and Compassion Fatigue. I am also an Elite Fear Free Veterinary Professional, with focus on low stress handling and veterinary visits.
